Wilder, man

The winter solstice and the coming of the new year are celebrated in many cultures, and when you take a look at the costumes devised for festivals heralding these events you’ll notice that they vary from region to region depending on what materials are locally available. Straw, fur, goat skulls, pine tree, moss.

Benny and I recently came across some figures obviously used for some sort of pagan festival in Lemoore, California that were created with basketballs,

trucker
soccer balls,

tada
rubber pumpkins,

pumpkin
burlap bags,

burlap
mannequins,

trophywife
old wigs,

redwig
tomato cages,

horsebuggy
and African masks.

climber
You know, stuff you might find in Lemoore.
