Knights of the Round Tetherball

There’s a very mysterious fortress in East Hollywood that I’ve been walking by lately.

armorsThe front of the building is a black metal wall covered with tiny shields, swords and armored headpieces,

and there are also security cameras and razor wire on the wall. See that tiny headpiece? It’s chicken-sized. This is like armor for a chicken. Or a bunch of chickens.

If you go around to the side, you see that the side wall and the roof of the fortress are completely covered in vines

fortresswalland adjacent to this is a locked up playground consisting mainly of tetherball courts.

When I walk by this playground it’s always right around the end of the school day, but I never see anybody in there, and it is never unlocked. I never see cars or people going in or out of the fortress. What’s happening in there? Are the armored chickens guarding the tetherballs? And if so, for what? This is one mysterious fortress.
