Saturday morning cultoon

I just finished reading a book about the “new religion” Aum Shinrikyo that was responsible for the sarin gas attacks in Tokyo in the ’90s. One of the more curious things in the book was the fact that Aum had its own Animation Division. I guess propaganda cartoons are nothing new, but I was still surprised to find out that a group of this size would have a division devoted entirely to animation.

The cartoons themselves are rather strange too, it goes without saying. Who knew something could be sinister and boring at the same time?
